Umma Group (UG) is a non-profit organization. Primary goal of UG is to develop, promote and advocate for fraternal and beneficial relations between the peoples of the United States and peoples of the Sudan.Among core values of UG is liberty, equality, justice, diversity, and unity.
UG convenes a General Conference (GC) each two year, to review performance, discuss plans and programs, and set future strategies and goals. The GC elects a president and a ten members of the Higher Executive Board (HEB). The sixth GC that held in Philadelphia of Pennsylvania, adopted a resolution to establish an Advisory Board (AB). The AB consists of the Chairperson’s of the thirteen (13) chapters of the UG that operates all over the US.
